Setting up your tree yet? Have ya?

I am setting up my tree today and lights on the first week of dec.!
Heres a few questions:

* Do you have 1 or 2 trees? One big tree? 2 small trees?
* Real or fake? real for christmas spirit? or fake for the enviorment?
* Do you use one color of lights or multi color?
* Is your tree elegant all white, crystal? or cheesey, funcolored!?

I have 2 medium trees, one mulitcolor with cool ortaments, no cheesey ones with a red or green star!! Liek the ones from crate and barrel. Then all white lights and all crystals or glass ortaments...its so beautiful! There both fake to A) Help the enviorment and B) Because i have cats, and they love to chew on plants, and anything wood.

Out tree has been up for about 2 weeks. Our philosophy is why spend all that time putting up decorations, taking down other decor, preparing for the holiday for one weeks worth of enjoyment? No we set up early so we can really enjoy the work we put into our decorations.
We have one tree up in the loft and we have a homemade sleigh that holds all the gifts with a Santa statue in the middle, in our living room.
Our tree is fake. The sleigh as i said is homemade.
We use multicolor lights on the tree and on the trees outside. We use white lights on the sleigh and in the branch garland. Our tree is all golds and whites. Except for the lights so a little bit of both elegant and cheesy. We tried the white lights but it washed out so we went back to tri-color.
